1. About YouSpotted
YouSpotted lets you report suspected parking and vehicle offences to the relevant council or authority. We only pass your report on — the authority alone decides whether any fine is issued.
2. Honest, first-hand reports
Only report what you personally saw, with accurate details and photos. False or misleading reports aren’t allowed and may be an offence.
3. Reports aren’t anonymous
Your report is linked to you. If an authority requests it, we may share your details with them to process the report.
4. Being a witness
If a vehicle owner disputes a fine and it goes to court, you agree to give a short written statement and, if needed, appear as a witness. This is extremely rare — most disputes never reach court, and to date no YouSpotter has ever had to attend.
5. Rewards
Any reward is discretionary and only payable if the authority issues an infringement from your report. We may change or withdraw rewards at any time.
6. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold YouSpotted, its team and partners harmless from any and all claims, losses, liabilities and costs arising from your reports or your use of the app.
7. Your privacy, by design
We collect only what’s needed to run reports and rewards — your phone, name and email, and your reports with their photos, plate and location — and share it only with the relevant authority or where the law requires. YouSpotted is built privacy-by-design with our partner meldCX: we never run facial recognition, and we’re rolling out automatic blurring of bystanders’ faces so only the evidence that matters is kept. Full detail, and your access/deletion rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
8. As-is
YouSpotted is provided “as is”, with no guarantee a fine will issue, a reward will be paid, or the service will be uninterrupted.
By ticking “I agree to YouSpotted Terms & Conditions” at sign-up, you confirm you’ve read and accept these terms. Read our Privacy Policy.
